A Bathing Ape Five Sta “Trainer”

By now, our loyal fans must have peeped the Bapesta Tiger Exclusives. But try this new experiment from A Bathing Ape on for size. The Five Sta shoes in this post retain the iconic A Bathing Ape star logo/design but everything from the upper to the sole borrows cues from a more athletic silhouette- namely the one New Balance has become famously known for. Made of both suede and mesh materials, we know of at least three colorways dropping: black/grey/white, multi-tonal brown/white, and white/grey. I would say this sneaker does a heck of a job at mixing “the best of both worlds-” the Bape style and an aesthetic geared towards running/training. But what do you guys think?
