In our Jordan Brand 2010 Preview, we showcased catalog scans of upcoming Air Jordans, including the highly sought after “Infrared” Air Jordan 6 (VI). Jordan Brand will be bringing back one of the most popular sneakers ever next year, but there will be two catches. The first is that varsity red will replace infrared accents, and the second catch is that the sneaker will come in suede rather than the original nubuck material. Other key aspects of this AJ 6 are the out-sole which appears to be white rather than a clear sole and the air bubble which is black rather than clear. Please be aware that this pair is only a sample, and we will surely keep you up to date as soon as any more information or pictures become available. The Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro – Black/Varsity Red is scheduled to release in January 2010.

The Nike Dunk has been re-issued in hundreds of colorways over the years, but new variations of the classic high-top basketball sneaker never fail to amaze sneakerheads worldwide. Today, we have our first look at a new yellow-based style of the sneaker that sways away from the typical colorway. Whenever a canvas Nike Air Force 1 is released, it is sold out rather quickly due to the fact that not many canvas styles of the AF1 are released throughout the year. We now have our first look at an Air Force 1 that draws inspiration from Jones Beach, and hosts the highly sought after canvas material. The upper of the sneaker is coated in sand-colored canvas while the mid-sole is white and the out-sole hosts a blue semi-translucent tint. Overall, this pair yields a clean and sleek colorway that is definitely one of the better Air Force 1 variations we have seen this year. Vans continues to release fresh new colorways of classic models, but this time around, the sneaker will be released with a twist. For their Fall 2009 collection, Vans is updating their Slip-On model with a quilted pattern on the toe box that gives the sneaker a fresh and sleek new look. The Vans Slip-On will release in six colorways: black, yellow, green, red, blue, and white. All six sneakers yield a clean white mid-sole and a tonal upper. Expect to see the Vans Slip-On Quilted Pack at your local Vans retailers in early Fall ‘09.

With the Concepts x Nike SB Blue Lobster Dunk already released in limited quantities at Concepts (Cambridge, MA), we are now receiving word that the latest SB Lobster Dunk has begun to arrive at more Nike SB retailers. This time around, the sneaker will not come with neon laces, special packaging materials, or skate decks, but rather a regular Nike SB box. Yesterday evening, the 2009 BET Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Though there were many emotional moments throughout the show, including the grand tribute to Michael Jackson, the ‘09 BET Awards hosted various celebrities that were spotted wearing the hottest sneakers currently available. Though Kanye West has his own signature sneaker, he decided to switch it up and sport a pair of Timberlands instead, while Carmelo Anthony stayed true to his brand and rocked an Air Jordan 1. Ron Artest also left his own K1x sneakers behind, and wore some Air Jordans. Todd Bratrud linked up with the folks at Nike SB (Skateboarding) to fabricate the “Brainwreck” Nike Dunk SB. The shoe debuted at the Debacle premier in Los Angeles, and is colored in a unique varsity red/grey/white style. “BRAINWRECK” is printed on the Dunk’s heel and inner lining is comprised of a woven pattern that resembles brain innards. The Nike “Brainwreck” Dunk SB High by Todd Bratrud will hit this upcoming Holiday season.
