Vans recently collaborated with Mastodon, an Atlanta-based metal band, to produce two new colorways of the Vans Sk8 High and two colorways of the Vans Slip On. All four sneakers feature some of Mastodon’s past album covers; two sneakers yield uppers that take inspiration from Blood Mountain, while the other two feature images from Crack the Skye. All four sneakers from the Mastodon x Vans Collection are now available for purchase.

Earlier today, we showcased the Fall 2009 collection of the Supra Suprano High, and we now have our first look at some new colorways of the Cruizer for the upcoming season. The first sneaker from this collection hosts a black upper with purple accents seen via the mid-sole, inner lining, and tongue, while aqua accents are visible on the stitching, lace holes, out-sole, and tongue lining. The second style is part of the TUF series, and it yields a green upper with black and orange accents. The final colorway has a simple purple/black-white color scheme. All three variations of the Supra Cruizer will be available in the Fall of 2009.

By now, the lady sneakerheads should have a bundle of Nike’s as part of their arsenals. But, Nike wants to add to its army with this Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 Women’s. The Air Force 1 comes in an emerald green/silver colorway, with the upper featuring a snakeskin design. The snakeskin is contrasted by light emerald tones on the midsole and toebox. Emerald green fills the inner lining and outsole, making this a super blue shoe for the ladies. To offset the emerald, white is found on the swoosh and laces to keep this shoe clean. The shoe is available for pre-order on eBay or available on the atmos website.

As part of the Denim Pack along with the Nike Blazer, the Nike Terminator High Premium puts the finishing touch on the denim-influenced idea. The Terminator features a blue denim upper along with a denim swoosh and leather panels. The shoe has a white midsole and dark blue outsole to match the laces and denim. A button clip is showcased on the side heel panel under the swoosh and next to the “NIKE” embossed in the leather back heel. A small, vertical, white Levi’s-like tag features the word Nike as well on the ankle area to finish off the second addition to the Denim Pack.

Another addition to the Nike ACG Fall 2009 collection other than the Nike ACG Air Salbis is the Nike ACG Morizaba, or however you pronounce it. The Morizaba, a peculiar name for a shoe, also features peculiar traits, taking influence from the Nike Terra Humara. The upper consists of mesh and leather panels, along with a 3M toe, Flywire side panel, and Trailframe arch support. Although this is no boot, the shoe features characteristics typical of one, especially with waterproof mesh panels. The good thing about this shoe is the colorway as well, sporting a blue and light green tone to contrast the black base and black speckled midsole. ACG makes its mark on the tongue and back heel, making this shoe an asset to the Fall 2009 collection.

Nike is coming up with collaborations from everywhere, including Canada. Nike 6.0 has teamed up with Canadian heavy metal band 3 Inches Blood to create the Nike 6.0 Zoom Oncore High – 3 Inches Blood, better known as the Blood Oncore High. This Nike 6.0 shoe carries a dark, bloody tone with its dark purple/blood upper and dark grey sole. The shoe uses suede, leather, and other materials to make this shoe what it is. A black swoosh finishes off the dark tone of the shoe, while the white contrasts and blood colored tongue give this shoe some style. 3 Inches Blood is stitched on the back heel to commemorate the metal band.

We still got our Nike boots just as Wale does, and it ain’t hard since Nike keeps on coming with new boot releases. The Nike ACG Air Salbis makes its way out with a bang. Coming in two similar black-based colorways, the Air Salbis boot takes influence from its boot ancestors the Nike Sertig and Nike Terra Albis. The shoe comes equipped with Trail Frame and Goretex technology, along with Nike’s own ACG. Also, the upper features perforated panels and other materials not usually found on a boot. It has a sweet speckled midsole along with some interesting contrasting colors, especially with the pink and blue ACG tongue tags. These boots are set to release for this Fall, just in time for hiking season.
