Over the past few weeks, we have unrolled the Sneaker Files Celebrity Shoe Sightings series. Welcome to the Air Jordan Edition!
Our last two Celebrity Shoe Sighting posts focused on Converse and New Balance. This time we feature the biggest name inspired by the greatest game. There appears to be a great history of Air Jordans appearing on the feet of celebrities. It started when Spike Lee gave the brand some free product placement in his movies. Nowadays, celebrities are photographed wearing Air Jordan sneakers both on-screen and off. From Will Smith to Seinfeld, John ‘King Ralph’ Goodman to Fred Savage (Wonder Years); the supporters of Jordan Brand are well diversified. There are some great pictures after the break. Mars Blackmon (Spike Lee) gets the crown for being the original Jordan-head, but Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison ) from A Different World is the Crown Prince. Check the re-runs from 1987 to about 1991!

The cast of Home Improvement would rock Jordans and other classic 90’s Nikes on many episodes as well as The Backstreet Boys who also rocked Jordans in some of their music videos.
Great post! I’d love to see this expanded on, it illustrates the shoes’ influence on culture and style.

Eddie Winslow when the show first aired An Steve Urkle when he was ballin had on some fresh Jays. Also Martin Lawrence on “Martin” used to stay with some heat, Remember when he gave those fresh pair of Taxi 12’s to that kid on the Christmas Episode?

kevin from the wonder years is by FAR the best on the list. the show was supposed to be about the 60’s and 70’s, then all of a sudden u see kevin with some 3’s. dude must have built a time machine with paul, haha. thats what u call iconoclastic.

The picture with Ben Savage(Kevin Arnold) was from the movie Little Monsters (1989). His characters name was Brian Stevenson. His brother also co-starred in the movie. Howie Mandel also starred in it and was rocking some dope Nike’s. lol no **** the Wonder Years had no J’’s the only HEAT on that show was Winnie Cooper

Yo, midnights weren’t even out when the show aired. He had on September Blues. Lol, midnights didn’t hit until 2000 . . . after the show was over for about 2 years.
