Early March we confirmed that some Air Jordan Retro 1 Highs would release in Winter of 2008, and now have a follow up with some catalog images. As you can see, Jordan Brand has added a strap to the Air Jordan Retro 1 High.
Already, a lot of people are angered by the newly acquired strap, giving them a Nike Vandal look, rather than the Jordan I (or Dunks).
On the good side, a Air Jordan Retro 1 Low in Black, Red will release, looking identical to the Original (but low). Another pair which is predominately Red will release to the top 325 stores. More images after the jump, via TheRetroKid.

first of all…if you guys want to get mad at somebody from jordan brand, get mad at gentry humphrey. He’s the one that said that all j’s that come out again (retroed) will look different from the j’s that came out back then. That’s why the 5′s and 8′s have that cheap suede….why? for 2 reasons….
1.Jordan doesn’t play ball no more so that gives jb an excuse to make less expensive suede and leather. (when jordan played ball,he wanted the best quality material on his shoes).
2.Ever since gentry got hired, JB has slacked off on the quality of materials to put on shoes. So he wanted to make it different from the j’s that came out before him. (yall don’t even know that gentry has ORIGINAL j’s locked up in his house……)
