The use of red, blue, and yellow and black lines does not make these shoes 'de stijl'. Mondrian refused to use curved lines believing that "the straight line tells the truth." Really, the basic shape of a shoe prohibits this from working but Nike doesn't even try in the design. And compositional balance is severely lacking. There is obviously more to it but that should suffice for this purpose. The point being, do not buy this cheap ploy. Just so you all understand, Mondrian would never lend his name to this product.
