Nike’s attempt to bring by their canvas Air Force 1 line has been successful and has even branched out to the production of Women’s models, including the Lucky Green canvas Air Force 1. With the introduction of Women’s and pastel colors as opposed to the Men’s traditional colors, it can be expected for many to disregard the WMNS label on the box and just convert the size number. A while back I got a pair of Women’s Court Force shoes. Nike says that the conversion is 1.5 sizes (men’s 8.5 = women’s 10). I got the shoes and noticed that they felt a little long…
Just recently I was looking at some size charts and noticed something weird. In Japan they just use a measurement, not some arbitrary number. Men’s US 8.5 = 26.5cm, but Women’s US 10 = 27cm.
So why do they recommend adding 1.5?
