Kick Box: Designed for Sneaker Pimps
Sneaker Pimps rolled through Toronto and Ricky Thomas was asked to design a pair of kicks. What we have is a pair of Nike Air Max 90 designed primarily from the Nike shoe Box, with the insole and form inserts.
The man behind what he labels as the Kick Box, Ricky Thomas, has a background of industrial design, and loves architecture. Ricky plans on making more, with the Kick Box first in the series. As long as materials and boxes are available.

We interact with and through various forms of media and it is these interactions that render and construct meaning. The placement of our cultural objects have a spatial-temporal quality that is both present and absent at the time of objective inquiry, indicative of a diversity of ideological tendencies and cultures. We cannot view this as something that exists outside ourselves, simply because both physically and psychologically our built forms mediate our everyday interactions, contributing to our continual renewal. We have always made things. We cannot help but interact. And in these interactions we generate new and interesting combinations. The raw material for the next lies in the emergent admixtures of material and imagination. How else can we explain the rich variety of cultural artifacts? That lineage is consistent, and is constantly in a state of becoming, inevitably touching off and provoking new forms for contemplation and renewal.
