My good friend raises miniature Australian Shepherds, and she free-feeds. Her cat eats when he wants -- high quality dog food. I currently have 2 cats and 1 dog. I feed the cats on my breakfast bar, and free-feed the dog. Sometimes the cats eat a little of the dog's food. I used to feed the cats on different shelves of a rolling kitchen cart, but this dog can get to the food, so I went higher. My sister feeds "everyone" a little canned meat at the same time, and they all wolf it down. The cats then have access to a bowl of dry food -- on the breakfast bar! As soon as it was discharged....days, I was receiving offers to buy a car from like 20 different dealerships. Usually the dealerships have special sections that deal w/bankruptcy's, repossessions, divorce, etc etc. They usually have a group of companies that work with high risk clients. The interest rate and payments may be a bit steep, but there are deals to be had as far as how much money you bring to the table to deal with and how flexible you going to be with how much of a payment you can handle. But generally, you can go to dealerships right after bankruptcy and bring your discharge papers and apply for loans and most likely get approved, but again, at a high rate and higher payment than most. And the deposits may be hefty depending on how low your credit score is at the time of applying. I just had a chapter 7 discharge in January of this year.
