Mache x Custom Kobe Bryant Air Jordan 3
Kobe Bryant has often been compared to Michael Jordan in most aspects of his game and now customizer MACHE brings them together by adding a little bit of Kobe Bryant to the Air Jordan III. One of the most recognizable features of this pair of Air Jordan 3 is the drawings of Kobe on each of the sides of the shoes, the pictures are from when Kobe just started out and won the Slam Dunk Contest to some of his signature high flying dunks.
Even the Air Jordan Jumpman symbol on the back of the shoe has been replaced with Kobe Bryant’s logo. The shoes have been designed just for Kobe Bryant in his size 14. Via NT.

Can we please just comment on the shoes? First off these aren’t fake, they are customs please read the article. Second of all, don’t hate on these because none of you guys could do something like this if so, do it and lets see it. How on earth did he come up with this crazy design?! Who could ever think about putting kobe dunking on the back of a shoe! How original! Anyone can think of this “design” in their sleep.Good job making these Jordans into Kobes…no one noticed the jumpman symbol on the back because the customizer replaced it with Kobe’s symbol.Kudos for the fine detail on the Kobe paintings on the heel, but is the yellow suppose to overlap the cement and go on the actual white part of the shoe?Fine detail on that…maybe he should of tapped off the shoe more, because it doesn’t look clean.He took great detail into painting each detail on Kobe; he probably painted his eyelashes on him, but couldn’t he have gone a little bit more crazy with the colors?The shoe itself is like a mullet, party in the back and business in the font.If you go crazy on the heel then do it for the whole shoe, otherwise you look like you like you aren’t completely finished with the final product.Thats just my insight.
As for the people who say, “don’t hate because you can’t do something like this” I hope your feelings weren’t hurt that badly because of the negative criticism some people left. that comment about the shoe looking like “a mullet” was wayy too funny. Yea, it does…..should’ve put that nuclear reactor Kobe symbol on the front toe box, too. that way it would’ve balanced out the shoe’s artwork.

Sigh…Yes, this is Mache…and yes, I made these. I have been in the customs game for awhile now and constructive criticism comes with every piece I put out and these are no different. I’m sure most of you lazy “kids” looked at the pics and didn’t read the article. These were made for Kobe, they are in his house as we speak. As for the blasphemy of doing a Kobe theme on some J’s I did them on the III’s because it is Kobe’s favorite Jordan shoe…and the flat panels were perfect for the design. I did use Andre Treiner’s idea with the MJ dunk contest III’s as inspitation for these….and for those who thought they were fakes…wow. Do your homework before you decide to get tough on the computer at your parents house. I’m out.

clever idea, but i’ve seen better stuff from mache before. i love the 3s, but you can still see the jumpman a little under the kobe logo, and i personally would have made the cement yellow with purple cracks, instead of grey with yellow cracks…..harder to do, but would have looked a lot more poppin.
and lets not start a kobe vs. mike battle…..they both talented, mike’s a legend and kobe’s just short of legend status, but kobe isn’t one for teamwork, and a selfish basketball player doesn’t get love.
