A lot of Sneakerheads in the sneaker culture, define their sneakers as a way of life and not just sneakers that you put on but as a piece of an everyday shoe collector’s life. But with sneakers, there is also a freshness in the natural human mentality for self -satisfaction. Whenever You cop that fresh pair, You cop that fresh cut. In the North Side of Chicago, The Hot Spot, Is a place where Sneakerheads can come and get a fresh cut, Graff’s, Or even a Fresh Pair of kicks.
Melo, owner of The Hot Spot Barbershop says:
“Well, what I got at the barbershop is that, It caters to Sneakerheads. I’m a collector Myself, So you can come and get Your hair cut, Get lined up, or even pick up a hot pair of kicks”
When I went in, The Hot Spot, I was impressed. I saw a couple of kicks that, I personally haven’t seen since the last dunkXchange a couple months ago, in Chicago.
I asked Melo, about what can people expect in the shop.
“I keep a lot of dope limited stuff on display a couple size runs as well as up close and personal with a couple of limited kicks and as far as brands, I’m a Nike head. You wont see anything but Nike, Jordan’s, SB’s, Dunks, Cross trainers and a lot more”
What makes the shop different from others?
Well, what’s different about My shop is, if people are into fashion and shoes and the whole sneaker culture, that’s what I am, I’m a Sneakerhead, So I bring that to my shop. So, from the dope cuts to the dope kicks, it doesn’t get any better than that. At the shop were always moving with the sneaker talk, put u up on what’s hot, what to get, what not to get, whats coming out, when its coming out, release dates..You know..I’ll just spread the knowledge while you get your cut”
