International Sneaker Battle June 23rd Recap

It’s the time of the season for battling!?

The International Sneaker Battle premiered last year, and returned to Edison, NJ yesterday for the first of three 2007 stops. Aside from being a competition among obsessive and passionate hobbyists, the ISB serves as a playground where generations of culture come to gather and play.

Competitors didn’t sweat the competition, and mostly buzzed about who had the piece that they want, or admire.
The prints and likes of Stash, Futura, Dave White, and SBTG have brushed and received authentic check marks for global success; literally spawning an outpour of prevailing newfound artists to the ISB.

Big thanks goes to Steve from Shoeyork.com for covering the event and writing this piece.

The picture of the fake Jordans needs to be removed on principle alone. They sell those at the flea market for $30 - cash only.

i was thinking the same thing, you have all those real kicks and break the chain with those fake 4’s…

Can’t the moderator ban Seagal ? If everyone could take a break from using the “N” word all of our lives would be a whole lot more interesting. It’s use is almost to the point of “word up” or “gnarly, dude”.

the sneaker battles are the worst of the worst. its just hot 97 and flex’s way of capitolizing off something they was never a part of. as for progression. they will never try to do snything for the culture other than make a profit……sad but true……the old solecollector events were different, they provided opportunity for cats too showcase there designs and they one shoes not money. but, they also got over rated and out of control…..couple of cats asked me if i was gonna compete…..and i told them theres only 3 reasons a person competes….. to hurt feelings, get they feelings hurt or to be a cat with money tryin to show off…..i aint none of those…peace
