Pre Spring Fling Sneaker Expo

April 11th from 5:30 pm to 10:30pm. The Spring Fling Sneaker Expo event is more than a sneaker exchange or sneaker competition. I prefer to tag it as modern-day, street wear enthusiast flea market. The Temple University Pre- Spring Fling Sneaker Expo was put together to bring all the style, creativity, sneaker knowledge and awareness under one common roof. There are two portions of this event. Part one is the “Sneaker Xchange”. Tables can be purchased for a minimum fee of $30 to all resellers, independent clothing line companies, what have you with the opportunity to showcase and offer rare and new clothing, kick, etc. to the Philadelphia area. It is a great opportunity to sale, present and trade rare, vintage, and highly sought after sneaks, apparel, and other accessories (toys, hats, skateboards, etc.) with the growing Philadelphia Area sneaker world. The deadline to purchase a table is March 28th. If you know of any people or companies that you would like to participate, encourage them to contact me, VJ via email at vj426@temple.edu. Part two of this event is a Sneaker Collection Competition. This event will be judged by a few of the Philadelphia areas well know sneaker enthusiast. Participants will be judged in the categories of: Best Jordans, Best Nike SBs, Best Other Shoes, Best Overall Display, and Rarest Shoe. These winners will be selected based on their collection overall and at random for each category (in other words, there will not be entries for a particular category). To participate in the Competition a table fee of $20 is asked and the winners of each category will receive CASH PRIZES as well as additional prizes and giveaways. We are limiting the number of sneakers to no more than 20 pairs. This number was chosen because we feel it is a good number that is not extremely hard to transport and it a good average number. For all participants in this function, we encourage you to bring decorations or what not for your table/booths. This is for both those in the competition as well as vendors. If you have a signature booth you would like to use, banner, promotional material, what have you, please supply it so you will stand out amount those browsing throughout the event. Set up for the event will be from 4:30 to 5:45. The doors will open at 6pm and the event will conclude at 10pm. We are charging a small fee of $5 at the door. Flyers for the event are in print and will be available randomly as well at all participating stores in the Philadelphia area. Thus far these stores are Exit Skate shop, Deep Sleep,Afficial, Pedestrian, and Garbege. To be finalized are WHTN, Ubiq, and Premier.
